I updated my iPhone 13 to iOS 16 and now am unable to watch Netflix and Hulu on tv via lightning to hdmi connector.

Others report that they get no video output from streaming apps such as Netflix and Prime Video on their TVs ( 1, 2, 3). Now when I connect the video works but there is no audio. This was working flawlessly until I updated to iOS 16. Im doing it this way so that I can stream at a lower quality and use less data. I’ve been using the hdmi lightning accessory to connect my iPhone 13 Pro Max to my tv to watch crave tv and Netflix. I’ve tried a total of 3 Lightning Digital AV Adapters and all behave the same. Went through all the possible checks but no luck. It either displays a picture without sound or it gives me sound without picture. I upgraded my iPhone SE to iOS 16 and noticed that my Lightning Digital AV Adapter is no longer functioning properly. Many iPhone users indicate that after installing the iOS 16 update, the HDMI functionality stopped working for them instantly even though it had been working properly before that. However, when they disconnected the adapter from their iPhones, the audio can be heard. In certain cases, users report that while the video playback appears to be okay, there is absolutely no audio output. Users claim that this issue arises when they connect their iPhone to a Lightning Digital AV adapter and mirror a video from a streaming platform to their TV.
HDMI TO LIGHTNING UPDATE
However, some iPhone users say that after installing the iOS 16 update on their devices, it breaks the HDMI functionality for them ( 1, 2, 3, 4, 5). This is done by connecting a Lightning Digital AV Adaptor to the Lightning port on your phone and then to a TV or projector via an HDMI cable. Using a Lightning Digital AV Adapter, iPhone users can mirror what is displayed on their device’s screen - apps, presentations, films, series, and videos - to their HDMI-equipped TV, projector, or other compatible displays.
